Troubleshooting & Frequently Asked Questions
This is almost always caused by closing the browser window before the download finishes. When you click the download link, a new browser window will open — you must leave this window open until the download is 100% complete. Because the file is large, this can take some time. If you close the browser early, you'll end up with a partial file that won't work.
Solution: Delete the incomplete file, make sure you have a solid internet connection, click the download link again, and wait for the download to fully complete before closing anything.
Each purchase comes with 10 downloads, and every click of the download button counts as one download — even if the download didn't finish. A common mistake is clicking the button multiple times thinking it didn't work. Only click the download button once and then wait.
Solution: If you've used all 10 downloads, simply reply to your Shopify order confirmation email and request additional downloads. We'll get you taken care of.
Due to the large file size of the ACE Guide, ForeFlight's annotation feature may cause the app to crash. This is a known issue that is being addressed in future versions.
Solution: Do not use ForeFlight's built-in annotation tools with the ACE Guide. If the app has already crashed, delete the guide from ForeFlight and re-import it using the steps below. If you need to annotate on your iPad, use the Goodreader App instead — it handles the file well.
If you're viewing the guide in a web browser (Safari, Chrome, etc.), some internal links may not function correctly.
Solution: Use a dedicated PDF reader. On desktop, Adobe Acrobat or PDF Xchange work best. On iPad/iPhone, use ForeFlight (Documents library) or Goodreader. On Android, use Xodo.
1. Follow the download link on a device with ForeFlight installed.
2. Once downloaded, tap the "Share With" icon.
3. Select ForeFlight from the share menu and choose 'Documents' as the import location.
Reminder: Avoid annotating the guide in ForeFlight. Use Goodreader for annotations.
